Wire fan to ?

Hi guys! I'm looking for some advice on where to wire my radiator fan. I had it wired to a small switch but it went bad. I would like to wire it to something that will only provide power when the key is on. That way it doesn't get forgotten about. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

What year and size is this Brute? My suggestion is to go back the way it came from the factory except one modification,,a switch bypass for those emergency moments. Let it work like it's supposed to in the mean time. Besides, the fans weren't built to be continuous duty motors. They will toast running all the time and then what will you do out on the trail when that happens.

All very good points. It's a 2011 750. I ran a switch bc the relay to kick on the fan crapped out. I've seen elsewhere on this forum that folks replaced the relay with a 10 Amp fuse. Maybe I'll take it back to factory, except I'll splice in a switch for emergencies and replace the relay with a fuse. Do you think that will work? My understanding is that typically the thermostat switch closes the
loop for the fan, so changing out the relay with a fuse should be okay. Thoughts?

From 2008 on they stopped using a fan switch on the radiator and went to a relay triggered by the ECU which gets it's temp info from the temp sensor. That relay's "line" power comes from the same auto breaker-type system it had prior to 2008. So...below is the fan control system for yours and what you have to do to tie-in a bypass switch. Returning your system back to factory may be the toughest part...but really it's all basic stuff once you look at it.

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't have thought to bypass the relay. Unfortunately to get back to factory I have to buy the relay. Everything else isn't that hard. I never throw anything away so I have the stock fan connector ect.
With this diagram you can use any standard relay.
I realized it wasn't the relay that broke it was the breaker. The post snapped off. I remembered it after reading another post
We sell what's called a Control Switches Box. Cleans up your handle bars and has all of your accessory buttons (like your fan) in one place! Check them out here --> Control Switches Box - with Light Bar Switch, Winch Switch, USB Port & More

Let me know if you have any questions about it!
You fine gents don't have diagrams or even a service manual for a 2020 bruteforce EPS?

Nope..it would be different then your 2011 so...what would you need one for?
Well, I can't find the wires that originally went to that breaker without tearing into the machine a bunch and I still don't remember what exactly I did with them. Looked at the new one for a reference but saw no breaker. I was curious to see of they were wired the same
They are not the same. I can give you a manual for yours and it does have the full wiring diagram in it. The link is below. It will only be good for 48 hours. After that it will no longer work so download it soon.

The manual looks like the 08 to 11 models. Are u certain it's for a 2020 brute?

You said yours is a 2011. This is the correct manual for that one. I also said we do not have one for the 2020...which would not help you anyway.
Yes it is. I have 2 brutes a 2011 and a 2020. Sorry for the mixup. Thanks for the manual!
So if I read all of that correctly, that wiring diagram will not work for a 2020 750 correct?

Nope. You need the 2015+ wiring diagram.
