Unusual belt light issue.

The belt error happens when the switch breaks contact even for a split second. The ECM will hold this code and cause it to be in limp mode until the problem is fixed and the reset procedure is conducted. The fact that the light comes on without limp mode enacted and turns off by itself says it is not coming from the belt switch or an error code in the ECU. So...the belt light circuit is getting power from another source...and it seems heat-related. It can be in the pods circuit board or anywhere in the harness back to the ECU. Grab the service manual and the wiring diagram and start tracing from the pod back. If nothing I would assume its the circuit board problem...or...its may be something with the ECU or it's connectors. Pull them too...look very close are all the pins. Might have water in there or somewhere it shouldn't be.

I made the realization that the bike shuts off as soon as the fan starts. It runs perfectly until that happens. Would that be an issue in the fan relay? As soon as the engine stops, the fan starts spinning. The fan won’t spin if the engine is on.
That makes no sense. Unless a chassis ground is off somewhere or a serious system power supply problem.
