What the heck does the PRI stand for on the fuel shut off? Not that it really matters but theres ON and PRI

So what does it do on prime that it doesn't do on ON?

Beat's me i think it is just to pump fuelto the carb's when you run out of gas don't know though i have never touched mine :lol:

Remember how they used to be? ON ,OFF, RES At least you knew and understood what those meant. Thanks...

The fuel [petcock]is actually a vacum shutoff/ fuel safety valve.
In the on position----fuel only flows when the motor is running.
You`ll see a tube that runs from the front intake manifold to the fuel valve.
If the motor shuts down the valve closes .
In the pri---position----fuel flows no matter what.

What position do YOU favor? Were still talking fuel position here don't worry? The other would be TMI :lol: I would like the crash AND burn myself :smirk:
