my brother contacted a certain individual about getting some "clutch work" done... Was told a price for a certain modification.. Before my brother sent the clutch, he marked the outside cover with a small notch... ANyways.... the guy calls and says he needs a total rebuilt and says.. its gonna $350.... My brother says.. well... OK....
My brother gets the clutch back and puts it in his bike... Continually has problems with it not running right.... Takes it out, sends it to another clutch guy.... Clutch guy calls my brother and makes a comment that the clutch looks like it has 4,000 miles on it..
My brother had never told the new clutch guy how many miles were on it, and my brother said, well my fourwheeler has almost 4,000 miles on it... So my brother said, "check the clutch cover and see if there is a notch in it" The new guy checked and sure enough.... there was the notch... so.. in other words.. he charged a huge ass price for a rebuild and never put any new parts in my brothers clutch... Ripped him off pretty good, along with JM.... and a few others....
he finally responded to my brother, never denied ripping him off, but said he would "warranty" the clutch and rebuild it again.. My brother basically said he didnt trust him enough and he was supposed to rebuild it the first time...
He just recently had a FST765 BBK installed and put about $7K into this bike and has only put about 10 hours on it since he got it back...
Other members have made alot of mention of scandalous dealings... Stating a price and then jacking it up after work is done.... etc etc.. Happened to my brother too...
