I snapped my belt around 2 months ago and haven’t had the time to replace it until yesterday. When I replaced it I reset the light and turned the switch to “on”. Once I tried to ride it, it didnt want to move. It rode for about 200 yards. After that it wouldn’t move unless the choke was on and it would ride on its own.
.
Gas seems to be coming out of the header.
I’m really at a loss at the moment.

Clearly something is very wrong. Backtrack everything you did and confirm all was done as the service manual outlines. Also, as fuel is coming out of the header, pull the plugs, dry it out and check that the choke cables and plungers are working and closing correctly. What year and model is this?
