Okay so my brother got a brute force 750 and the last owner sunk the original motor and then swapped a 08 motor into it. Everything runs fine but we noticed it had a oil leak from a certain spot so we tore the left case off and found the seal was broken and so we are gonna fix it but we can no figure out what this nipple piece is for. Let me know what you think, thank y’all’s

I see the water pump without the impeller and the mechanical seal still in place. Below that on the case is the nipple or port for the weep tube. That tube lets either oil or coolant out of the weep chamber depending on which seal has gone bad. If you saw oil coming from it, the oil seal is bad but you will have to replace it and the mechanical seal along with the gaskets for the two covers you will be removing..unless the 08s didn't use gaskets on their covers. Its a job to do. Best have a service manual to guide you.
