2020 BF750 4wd not fully engaging.

Newbie here. I have been reading on forums and watching videoed and it doesn’t seem that anyone is having the same issue I am having. When I go to engage 4wd I can feel it engage and the light stays in 2, but when it gets any pressure on it, it clunks and hops out of 4. It takes me backing up and driving forward several times on a flat level surface for it to fully engage and for the light to switch to 4. 2020 750. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also would like to know how I can wire a switch to my fan as I do not like how hot it gets, but that’s a separate issue. Thanks

I have an 07 that was clunking when going in to 4wd. Finally the shaft and block broke of the actuator. Instead of spending 300 on a used actuator, I just went with the kit from knightatv.com. I've took it out twice since installing and no more clunking or grinding.

I took the actuator off last night and took it apart. Everything looks great. The bike only has 400 miles on it. Drained the diff fluid and didn’t see any metal shavings or chunks. I guess like you said, the problem will eventually find itself.
