Anyone good with trailers?

Not really the place for it here but if rather not sign up for a new account on a trailer forum. Is anyone good with trailers? This one is for sale about a 3 hour drive from me for a good price. A lady has it and her husband recently died. She doesn't know anything about it besides its a 6x16. It was manufactured by a local welding shop with what appears to be 3500lb axles but without brakes and only a 3500lb coupler. Why would a trailer with 7000lbs of axles only have a 3500lb coupler? It looks rugged. Suppose I could put a set of brakes on it for about $400 and a bigger coupler and have a nice 7000lb trailer? It'd be great for towing two wheelers but I'd like to buy a tractor in the near future and I'm trying to buy a trailer that'll do everything. Any advice?

Dude for that price just surf OfferUp, down here in Miami for 2200 you’ll get a really nice looking trailer. Expand your search to a bit farther. I picked up a nice harley trailer for 1200 bucks. She’s not wife but fits 3 atvs side by side or one sxs 4 seater lifted ect with maybe about 3.5 ft left in length... if I knew how to post pics I’d show you her.... just wait that’s what I did ( be that guy low balling at 1am lol) I know I hate those people but out of the 10 ppl you low ball one in a week will say just come get it
