05 Brute Force snorkel carb tunning

I recently just snorkeled my 05 Brute and and now it starts and run fine up until half throttle, which gets me to around 30mph then it sputters and won’t accelerate anymore. Bike is completely stock motor and exhaust wise beside the snorkel and a k&n filter. I know it’s too rich do to the lack of air now, but can I just turn down the mixture screw or do I need to rejet? I tried searching other post but couldn’t find any with stock exhaust.

Everyone went to 3" on the engine air because the 2" only gave them up to about 3/4s throttle before choking. And they needed to re-get down about 2 sizes. The A/F screw only effects idle mixture so it won't help. What size pipe did you use on yours? Also the 90 off the airbox has to be 3".

You should also know that most of us..especially the ones that live in dusty conditions no longer use the K&N filter. We all went with the foam UniFilter because of lost engines.

Thanks, I didn’t know that about the filters. It’s 2” and its on a 750. I bought the triangle atv stealth snorkel kit. It’s only a 45 off the airbox at 2” as well then flex pipe running it up . I should only have to drop the main down two sizes then correct?

Yeah. I would get both one and two down cause it depends on the float levels, your altitude and a few other factors.
