No power to injectors
I'm new to the site and was hoping to get some input from the forum. Here is the short story. 2011 Kawasaki 750 Brute, purchased used. No wet riding. Always seemed to have mild issues starting but I just accepted it as cold blooded. The last day it ran it was extra cranky getting started. Once started it felt like it was running on one cylinder after about 45 seconds it died, wouldn't restart. Here is what I found:
Spark was good on both cylinders
Removed fuel pump and found strainer/filter looking black/dirty. Replaced fuel pump and strainer/filter - still no start
Unplugged roll over sensor and reset (several times) - no start
Unplugged ECU and reconnected (several times) - no start
Bike will run when you dump fuel directly into throttle body but when you stop it dies
Roll over switch checked good
Injector tested 11.7 ohms - good
Injector wire continuity good between ECU and Injector
Fuel pump runs for 3 seconds when the bike is switched on
No blockage in fuel lines
Throttle position sensor tested 5.16K ohms - good
ECU ground is good (Terminal 33 & 42 test)
ECU Power is good (Terminal 8 & 13 test)
I have 0.5volts at the injector while cranking - fail
No FI indicator on at LCD (except for 1-2 second during power up)

Having a hard time believing it is ECU but it seems like I've tested everything else so not much remains. Would there be any other reason why the injectors aren't getting power?

If ECU is the leading suspect is Copperhead my best replacement?

At first I was going to say the pulse coil or CPS (same thing) but that would have also taken out the spark...but check it anyway...they do go bad. If there is no connection issues or kill switch issues and the vehicle-down switch tests OK, then I would be looking at the ECM. Expensive...and other units like copperhead are add-ons that still require the OE ECM to be intact so look to ebay or someone parting out one to get a deal.

What's Left To Check???

I'm still having issues with my 2011 750 Brute and looking to see if anyone can point me in the correct direction. See original post above. Here is what I have done so far.

Replaced fuel pump & filter / strainer
Spark is good, will run if I dump fuel into throttle body
I was getting some goofy voltages from the injector ECU so I replaced it with new one.
Replaced both injectors.
Noticed I had a open wire somewhere in the wire harness so I replaced it.
Still no fuel through injectors despite seeing appropriate voltage at the injectors.

When I turn on the key, the fuel pump pressures up, I see voltage at injector for ~ 2 seconds, no fuel blockage, no codes. WTF?

Is there any sensor that would allow the fuel pump to run, the ECU to signal the injector to fire but not allow it to fire up?

One thing on the list to check is fuel pressure but it sure seems good. Had a very slight fuel rail misalignment on one test and was spraying fuel everywhere, oops.

Anybody have anything? I'm about emotionally spent on this thing.

I would have suggested testing the pulse coil/CPS but it also tells the ECM when to spark so..maybe not. Might check it anyway cause it may just be weak. Check the TPS as well.
