2006 Brute Force 650 oil leak

I am no mechanic by any means. Honestly, my wife is better at engines than me. We bought a used 650 from a friend. When test riding it, we did notice some very slight whispy smoke and warm oil smell after she was riding it arouind for about an hour. After bring it home she took the seat and side cowlings off it, and saw what it looks like could be an oil leak. I do not know if it's head gasket or valve cover leaking. Any suggestion on what one ?

Thanks for your help.

90% of the time it's the cam end cap that's leaking. Its that round thing just down from the top on the side. Take some engine cleaner and spray all the head and let it sit a few hours. Then hit it with a car wash or pressure washer. Get it clean. Then flush around that plug with some acetone or lacquer thinner to get all the oil out. Then when it dries smash some RED high-Temp RTV silicone in the gap all the way around. Then wipe the excess off and let fully dry for at least a full day before starting it. That stopped mine.
