Bounty on my Brute
Should get a copy of that signed work order and go through all the fine print to see exactly what it says and if it isn't very, very clear about them not being responsible it might be worth the few hundred to have a lawyer look it over and see if it would be worth persuing. If it is on thier property it should be covered by thier insurance in my opinion unless you signed the paper that says "if stolen I am responsible" in an easy to find paragraph on the work order.

Bounty on my Brute
The woman I talked to was no help. She said the offer still stands. I called the executive office & someone is supposed to call me mon. or tues. If I don't get any corporation, I'm getting a lawyer. BTW, my insurance company IS State Farm. You would think that they would work with me a little better. I have been a customer of theirs for about 15 yrs. I have my house, 3 trucks, 2 life insurance policy's, 2 Brutes & my camper with them. In the past I have had another house, 5 cars & 2 other atvs with um. I don't even get a rate quote from my agent, I just tell him what I need insured.

Same situation with me, my state farm agent is a good friend of mine and have had life, home, auto's, etc with him for the last 25 years. Problem is they no longer have any part of the settlement part of INS. Several years ago, Corporate offices found out if you take the personal relationships out of the business and let "Claims Adjusters" handle the claims they could save millions a year. Get a lawyer and sic him on the dealership first!!! I still believe they tried to pull the wool over your eyes. Good luck and keep us informed...

As soon as you signed the work order----what!?
If the machine was in their hands when it was stolen, then it should be their problem.

Re: Bounty on my Brute
Good to see your getting a good chunk of change back instead of having the ins. company rape you dry.

Re: Bounty on my Brute
Agreed, glad you are getting enough to at least get you started on rigging out a new one like you want it. BUT:: what about the frickin dealership??? Your drinking buddy didn't want to go after him??? You got paid by YOUR insurance company so YOUR rates will go up if they don't drop you??? Still confused! Can you shed light on why the dealer walked out of this clean?

Re: Bounty on my Brute
I am in the insurance buisness. Have been for 17 years. If they pay the carrier will go after the dealership for reimbursement of what they paid. Subrogation.* Dealership had care custody and control of the ATV. Unless there was some behind the scenes stuff going on that is how it works.
