Default 2007 Prairie 360 4x4 and Ricochet Skid Plates Question

Hello all,

I will be taking delivery of a 2007 Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4 very soon and I want to put some aluminum skids underneath.

Does anyone have a P360 with the full Ricochet skid plates?* If so, are you happy with them....pros and/or cons?

I am open to other manufacturers, so if anyone has an opinion, please feel free to chime in.

As always, pics are good.

Thanks very much.

I have Ricochet skid plates on my '03 P650.* I bought the Prairie new, in Aug '02 and installed the full skid plate within 4 months of buying the quad.* It has taken some severe beatings and has done it's job very well!* It is hands down a hundred times stronger, and offers more protection, than the stock skid plates.* I highly recommend it.

I had the full set on an 04 Prarie 360(sold). This was the first mod on that bike because I bent the factory bash plate on my first ride...lol The fit and protection is very good. I have them installed on both my brutes now (ordered them the day I signed papers on both quads). There is no way I would ride without a good set of skid plates now. I bottomed out hard on a rock hidden in a mud hole last year that would have busted the plastic factory skids and probably damaged the frame. It hit hard enough to take a chunk out of the skid directly under one of the main frame rails and created some major back and neck pain. I also don't have to worry about skiing over logs, stumps, and rocks tearing something out from under the machine. With the lower ground clearance of the SRA design, aftermarket skids are almost a neccesity if you plan on doing alot of trail riding.
Make sure you get some foam weatherstripping tape to place between the plates and the main frame. This will eliminate any vibration/buzzing caused between the frame and the large aluminum plates.
