engine doesn't start
alright im working on my buddies prairie 700 04. has been sunk at least 4 times. anyways this time is was running good. he shut it off and went to start it up again and it turned over and stopped with a clunk. starter sounded jammed. i have taken a wrench to the crank shaft it rotates about 3/4 of a shaft rotation both ways and stops with a clunking metal sound. i have taken the starter out. and popped the rear valve cover. i have a couple of ideas. what should you suggest i try first as its not easy to get to everything.
dropped valve
flywheel teeth done
timing chian on front valves gone
or someting eles?

engine doesn't start
can't remember what it was, but camo's prarie did the same thing out at st. a's, and i know he's already torn into it so i'm pretty sure he'd be able to tell you.

engine doesn't start
If he does not turn off the gas when he shuts it down, it is possible that it is hydrolocked. Gas flows into the cylinders and locks them. Try pulling the plugs and then turning it over. See if any gas comes out. Then try it again.

his sn is CamoKVF700* He's the guy with the turbo V, also has a couple of praries.* haven't seen him around since the change over, but i'd shoot him a pm if i was you, just tell him i thought he might be able to help.

alright thanks guys i appreciate it. and i think by also reading the post on nyroc too. that sounds likes its someting internal. so im goign to tell him to take it to the dealer. as i dont' have all the special tools to do it. have a feelings its a spun bearing
