Default Remington 887 shotgun

Hey guys,
Anyone have any experiance with the newer Remington 887 supermag shotgun. I hunt the bay and new polymer coating would be great to stop my rusting issues. I have had many 870s and and 11-87s and like them alot but wanting to try something new. Soon they will have a 26 inch barrel according to remingiton. Dislikes, likes. Thanks

I also have two 870's and a 11-87, love all three. Have not had the oportunity to ck out the 887 yet. But I have heard good things about the polymer coatings. I have a hunting buddy that bought one but he didn't bring it on the hunt we shared. He said he loved it but never said why he didn't bring it. He's kind of anal abou his guns. Can't stand to get a little mud on it. He almost dies when he see's the way I use mine. Mine have been used for everything from a crutch to a pry bar, ice breaker, paddle, club etc....I always tell him, Its mine, its paid for and if I break it, i'll get another one!! Here let me hold your gun for you!

I looked at them last fall, nice feel, nice look and the marketing sounded good. I was just a little nervous about what would happen if the composite coating ever got a crack or split and moisture got between it and the metal.

I ended up with a Mossberg 500, I really like the 870 but I got a great deal on the Mossberg. After one season so far the ducks, geese and deer don't know the difference.
