Default Checker plate or smooth aluminum?

Just an opinion ? here. What material looks better on a skid plate? Smooth aluminum or diamond plate?

If your doing skid plates, I'd go with solid, and then checker plate for the a-arms and bumper, just so the skids are smooth

Diamond plate might be too abrasive and hang you up on logs and stuff. I agree though it does look cool, I will put diamond plate on the a-arms and smooth on the skid.
