Get you one of those new 4-passenger RZRs.

I'm in the same position. my g/f and i ride alot together and sometimes its hard on the brute so we are gonna get a teryx next. Sometimes I wish I never got this new brute and got the teryx.
The rzr's are nice but for what you get and the money i'm not a fan of cheap frames and cheap differentials. I also found out this winter that the clutch vent is in a crappy place so riding in the fine powder snow was getting sucked in and causing some bad belt slippage on my friends. His throttle cable also has issues of sticking wide open and caused a crash and bent frame. shame cause its a brand new machine and it gets treated well

This talk about RZRs being junk has me wondering... Are the claims that they have very weak front diffs, weak frames, and sticking gas pedals (I assume is what you're referring to by saying "toyota syndrome") widely known, proven facts about the RZR? I personally know a Polaris dealer who has not experienced these problems with any kind of regularity...not saying it doesn't happen, because it happens to all ATVs/SxSs. I don't think you'll find this to be a "general opinion" when you ask people about the RZR. But that's just my take.

I think you are right DLB. In my travels around the forums, I don't hear that kind of issues with the RZRs too often. I think its like anything else, if you do something it wasn't intended to do,.. expect issues....like completely submurging them in water and mud, or jumping them at high speed...ect.

I started this thread hoping to hear from some actual RZR/Teryx owners. Most of the stuff that I've heard has been "rumors" too. My brother's RZR seems to be a pretty good machine for how he rides despite the fact he had the front axles/wheel bearings replaced.
My son almost has me talked into getting another Brute, which might be the best for my situation. Although I sorta hate to get another quad since I have 3. I have the 750 Brute (my ride), a '98 prarie which isn't really trail worthy anymore, and a 250ex which my son is just too tall for now ...decisions, decisions, decisions...

Might be time to sell-off what doesn't fit your life anymore and get one new thing that does. Its it another quad...or shall it be a different style of toy. Sometimes I think a nice sporty SXS would be a great change for some areas I ride in, other times its the Brute all the way and I would't trade it for anything.

I understand what you are saying but this is no rumor! My 2 best friends both have RZR's and we just trail ride. No jumps or extreme mud crap. I've witnessed the blown front diff, I've witnessed the sticking gas pedal and i've witnessed the weak frame. They are nice looking and driving machines no doubt but to have issues like that i'll put my $14k into a teryx and smoke that polaris

I'd be looking into a Teryx if I were buying a SxS. Ive always been a kawasaki fan tho..seems out of all the manufactures and their problems, the kawasaki ones are not as major as everyone else.
Plus they look awesome...c'mon!
