Unhappy I have cancer...

Well, I wasn't going to report this but I feel it can't hurt.

Yesterday, I was told that I had testicular cancer on the left side. There is a hard mass there that is 3 x 3 x 4.5 centimeters in dimension. It's pretty sore and swollen as you can imagine.

I will continue work and appointments this week as I can and then go in for an operation to remove on Monday morning. The doctor believes we may have caught this early and has a good outlook. After recovery and healing, we'll do a torso cat scan to make sure that there are no cancerous nodes left. He's pretty optimistic. I am "open minded" I guess. Praying and hoping for the best of course.

Not to worry about BC. I have back up plans in place should something ever happen to me. Always have.

That's about it for now...gotta go get blood work and then see the surgeon.

I'll updates things here....as I can. Could use some prayers.

Thanks ahead of time.

Jamey.

Jamey,

Good luck! Are you going to be at CVPH, or Fletcher Allen? A good friend of mine, Andrew Golt, had to have a testicle removed two years ago. He had a complete recovery. God willing, you will too!

Thanks man. I am going to CVPH. I had the choice. The funny thing is that when the doctor said he was gonna take it, I said "you can have it" immediately. I'm pretty sore. I am actually managing the shop now for Barrie and am gonna finish the week. Then next week, I'll be doing a lot from home due to the staples and such I'll be left with Monday after the procedure.

Feel free to stop over and say hello.

That's sad to hear. There is a good recovery rate for that type of cancer, so stay positive. Make sure they do a thorough follow up with the scans after the procedure. I wish you well, good luck.

Jamey just said a prayer for you before I wrote this. You'll be fine the LORD will take care of you. HE does not leave his sheep alone. Keep us posted.
