Need Help with Wheels and Tires..
Hi Guys,
I have a 07 650I in the Silver color. I'm looking to get a wheel kit soon. I think I want the ss112s for wheels and go with a 27" MUDLITE MTR or 26" Terracross. Can you please tell me what I should choose and if I should look at another wheel? thanks.
My mods so far is just the Moose Module.

What kind of riding will you be doing?
Mainly trail little mud means one and trails with some mud means another. Mainly mudding means yet another.
By the way, do mean the Mudlite XTR?

Based on that, I would say the TerraCross would be better. The XTRs are great tires and gad almost anything but the Terras should get a better bite on the hard pack and grass. One thing is that many guys are unhappy with the puncture resistance of the Terras, especially the sidewalls.
Are you looking to stay with a radial tire. I would but I am just asking. I have heard good things about the Maxxis Bighorn radials as well.

I want to stay with a radial. I don't want any flats thats for sure. My stockers have 3 patches and 4 bent rims, I had to slicone one rims since it was leaking air. With an investment like this I think its time for a wheel kit for sure. I know a place in town has great deals on XTR's maybe I will give them a try. How do they wear?

I can tell you the Terracross get awsome traction on grass and hard pack. I am looking at getting a set of 26s for my Brute and putting the 25s I have on my wifes Grizzly 450. I want to see a set of the 26 inch Terras on 12 inch rims so I can see how much wider and taller they are than my 25s. I have been pretty happy with them they seem to get traction on all surfaces.

I like the new Visions. Since you aren't big into mudding, they might hold their finish pretty well.

Just as a qustion how good are you at up keep on your bike. I know a few guys that bought expensive nice looking rims and they look like hell now cause they would go ride and save um dirty and now they are brown instead of shiny. Just saying they have some really great black rims out too.
