Any body have a problem with their rear brake cable seizing on. More so when cold. Are these serviceable at all

Default rear brake cable

Water gets inside the cable & freezes , you'll have to take the cable off and hang upright then with a cable luber start introducing some wd40 to the cable & let it drip down the inside of the sleeve . Some people have claimed to drip antifreeze or tranny fluid . I just back off on the rear brake adjustment & run without rear brakes till I can get to them .
Sure would have been better if Kawi put a hydrolic slave cylinder on the rear diff.

Default rear brake cable

Mine did it after 3 months old , In the northeast it gets a little cold & the water inside the cable housing freezes , If you leave you're parking break on it will be frozen & the only way to undo it is to back off on the cable adjustment .

Default rear brake cable

Just get a cable luber tool and flush the thing with WD40. Then push some good cable lube through it which is designed to repel water. I went through this the first year with my machine. Has not given me a problem since.

You can get them at most auto parts stores. You can also find them on Ebay. Just search for cable luber.
