589's or Swamplites?
Just curious how many belts have you gone through?
I have a ton of miles on my factory belt and I run 28inch edl vampires.
If you really like the outlaws try a clutch kit. I dont know if that is what is saving my belt but I was told to put it when I put the tires and havent had any problems.

589's or Swamplites?
I had some swamplites on my stock wheels, and was moderatly impressed with them....I would go with the 589's. better tire for all terrains.
the interco's are good, but i beleive the itp's are much better.

589's or Swamplites?

I ride alot of mud and trails, and my laws eat threw my belts. My last one lasted only 100 miles, and I cannot afford to keep replacing them. Depending on how long this new one lasts, (installed on saturday) I may be looking at some new tires. Plus it will decrease the wear on everything else, which would be great with a boy due in Jan. Anyways I have narrowed it down to two different tires, either 28x11x12 589's, or 28x10x12 swamplites. Both are very close in price, so thats not a problem. Just curius pro's and cons??[/b][/b]

There is no reason to be going through belts like you describe , are you running low any time you are riding at speeds below about 20 mph and never pull using reverse , Most people that have belt problems cause them theirselves , have your belt deflection set and if need be replace the driver spring with a stiffer one, I have owned 4 kawie belt drive ATV's , 3 praires and the brute and its pretty easy to get to several thousands miles on a belt with proper riding styles , as for as the tires I just pruchased a set of 28" swamp lites and I am anxious to get them mounted and try the out. Good luck on your belts and what ever tire you purchase.

589's or Swamplites?
Hey ive been going through belts like crazy too. 3 in last 3 trips. i took it to a local shop and they said my clutch sheaves were bad. they had been groved out and were prematurly wearing down the belts. he showed it too me and it was pretty bad. Its like $400 in parts and an hour labor to replace they said. Sounds like this may be the same prob for you. Check into it. Anybody else have this problems and had to replace them?

Send your clutch into VForceJohn. He will not only fix the problem but also modify the clutch to perform like no other. And, he is cheaper.

589's or Swamplites?
yeah I figured out my problem. when I installed my clutch kit, I was in a hurry and I did not double check the belt deflecton. now with it set properly I have had zero problems.
