Default Urgent tire question!!!!!

Guys I cant decide between bighorns or terracross tires. I ride mainly fast trails and a little mud and will be doing a hairscramble or two this year. My brute 750 is green and will have black itp type 7 rims with whatever tire I choose, any pictures or opinions would really help.

Default Urgent tire question!!!!!

I have no history with Bighorns, but know they are heavy, last a long time and are durable. I just put Terracrosses on my BF. I like them, but I will say the back tires have a very flat footprint. The bighorns are much more rounded.

Take it for what its worth.....

I'am a ITP guy all the way Terracross gets my vote not just becouse it has itp on it but is less money + has everything the bighorn has going for it :)

Default Urgent tire question!!!!!

I'd say its more about size, I like the Terracross for stock size since they are a lighter tire. The Big horns give you more size options though.

Default Urgent tire question!!!!!

i ride the Bighorns and really like 'em, but the T/C should be equal in most all respects. the only (percieved) difference may be due to the more, but smaller tread blocks on the T/C. this looks to me like it would give better traction in loose conditions, but provide a less durable tread block. just an uneducated observation that may be wrong.

both of these have a good reputation amoung users.

Default Urgent tire question!!!!!

well, i did it. i just bought a set of 25" terracross for my brutes stock rims. i'll post some pics and thoughts of them as soon as i get them. it did really come down to a flip of the coin and that everyone i know has bighorns, so of course i had to get something different.
