If your not a serious mudder or a hardcore trail rider and ride abit of both, I defineatly recommend the itp mud lites, I have 26/10/12 on the front and 26/12/12 on the back and with over 7000km of wear their still better then the stocks and have alot of grip left.
Also the mud lite xtr's best all around tire out there, they hook up great, clean out easy in mud because of the added ribs they have, and are really smooth when driving on the road(got my dad a set for christmas.....might want them back

)
But as for the mud lite xl's which I have, this tire has been great for me, I had no problems with punctures or tears except my first ride with them I burnt out on a bridge and I guess when I slid the back end, I caught a nail because when cleaning the bike off I noticed it was alot wider. On roads and trails, at very low speeds(2-8km'h) it bounces a little bit because of the lug but soon as you catch abit of speed they become stable. At high speeds on a road or trail, it almost feels like the bike is floating which is a feeling you have to get used to. In mud I have no had a problem, I've never been stuck where the tires couldn't get me, only where my solid rear axle snubbed me out, as in my pictures in the gallery. In soft sand and snow, they hook up great but none the less in the snow, SRA becomes an issue. As for cleaning out in mud, the best way to tell if you have a good self cleaning tire is how much mud they through and man, they cover my bike. And last handling, with the 10's on the front for width, I had no problems for ease of turning although it rubbed on my winch, but I Had moved my winch from its original position, but it wasn't enough rub to do damage because it was only when my tires were turned all the way to the left. In conclusion, great tire.
