Well, as you can see from the part of the chart, DJs # 150 &155 are equal to Keihin's 165 and 170+. As I recall, the stock jets were 152 & 155. I don't know what or who told you to put those in, but They are way too big. Even with a full system and those pistons, they would be too big. If you are going to use those dynojet jets, then you need to be closer to 142/144 or 144/146. Ok, thats for the highend. Now the idle problem. 2.5 is a good spot on the a/fs. If the float levels are still the same, then the only carb-related cause for a problem is a vacuum leak. The most common problem a Brute has is the clamps that hold the carbs to the boots and the boots to the heads cut the boots if tighted too much. Done it myself... twice. Check your valves too just to be sure.

i put the 142 front and 144 rear and it ran good with three turns, so i tried the the 144 frint and 146 rear with 2.5 turns and runs flawless on the high end no sputtering and spinds the tires with ease, but! it want stand up it will pull them a lil bit but i think its the red primary and red secondary just spins them with the pistons and cam. still smokes white when i get on it hard so i pulled the plugs and the rear plug had oil all over it i cleaned and switch the front plug with the rear to see what happens but it was dark when i got done. do you have any ideas with anything about this?
thanks

Well I have a suspission, but hate to think about it. Might have a broken ring or a bad valve guide. Might take a commpression test and see if there is any difference between the two. How many miles on that last rebuild?

thata what my dad siad. but if it is one, its the rear, the one i ran with out a plug for like five min ever since then been smoking. wich its not that big of deal to replace those rings. that could be the reason its not wanting to pull the tires rught?
