Tire size or weight. What is worse?
Is it easier to turn a lighter tall tire or a heavier small tire?
I want a radial, but they are heavy, I also want a taller tire, but the taller the tire the heavier it is.
So do I decide to get a big light tire (bias) or a smaller heavier tire (radial)
Also note that the only real mud I am going to hit will be trail mud that I come across. I am mainly a trail rider, donuts and wheelies.
My tax return is coming in and I am finally gonna get tires and rims.
Bias 27-28"
Zilla
Radial 25-26"
Terracross
xtr
spartacus
grim reaper

The weight is what will slow you down. anytime you add rotating mass it hurts performance.
I duno if i speak for myself here, but when I switch between stock tires and 27" swamplites I realy dont notice a difference in performance at all.

Where I am, I noticed...big time. I went from the stockers to 27" XTRs on 14" rims and they were 3-times the weight...about. I ride trails mostly too and almost never come across mud so I decided to go for a little smaller tire, but stay with radials. I like the radials for the trails....mostly for the Brute!
These new ones are a little lighter then the 27x11"x14" xtrs bit a little heavier then the 9" I had on front. Even so, when I hit a road and pin it, it does get to the topend much faster then with the 27s, and they are better on the tight trails and corners. And I still have the same chutch springs in I had with the 27s. Works great.
I say if you are going to ride like a sport bike...fast trails, power-slides,donuts...ect, then keep it down low but know that radials will bite better so if you want to slide and donut easier, then maybe a radial isn't the best to have. But if you want the better ride, and better grip, then I recommend the radials.

Thats kind of what I thought. I just wanted to make sure from others experience. With the condition of my stock tires, it is definately no hard to power slide, mind you unless I am on dry pavement I have a hard time wheelying (no traction).

I have that same problem...with all the tires I have had. That's Brute-Power I guess... lol. There is a little fact about Brutes though, if it can't spin the tires, and it can't slip the belt, it's probaly going to break an axle or CV...which is the next weakest link. We do all this stuff to hook-up better then re-spring our clutches for better belt grip, then add even more power with the programers, CDIs & pipes, then we bitch when we break axles...and knuckles...and CVs. Ahaaa but when it doesn't break anything...pure power head rush...like no other

the big horn 2.0 is one of the lightest radials you'll find...an excellent trail tire.
