Will you buy new rims to go with those 26-12x12? I don't think the stock rims will handle the big 12" tire. New rims will offset as part of their design. I have 26-12x12 Swamplites on ITP SS108 12x7 rims onmy 750i and have no problems with tire rub on the tank or muffler.

yes actually the tire and rim combo is the one you have i really like the look of the swamplites, and the machined ss108 when i called royal dist they told me the ss108 had the same offset as the original wheels so i was a bit concerned, mine is only a 650 sra dont know if that makes any difference on the clearances

Looking at your Avatar it looks like you have a 650 SRA. I have one as well. I run 26x12x12 GBC dirt tamers in the rear on stock rims with No problems!!! Tons of room still!

I'll admit, that I was guessing about the 12" fitting on stock wheels. I still have the original tires on the stock rims, as I bought the Swamplites and the black SS108s as a kit.

Don't know if this is relevant, but an individual I know put some 12" mud tire on his stock Suzuki rims and although he didn't have clearance problems, the rears would not stay inflated. The next time I saw him, he had traded those mudders in for 10" tires.

I can't recommend spacers as they are hard on our single-bearing setups but if you must, we have a sponsor that we have trusted for--ever that has some of the best. Mudlift over at SSATV PLUS. Here is the link

i just picked up some 27x12x12 and 27x10x12 Swamp Lites and I have stock rims. If I'm reading this right, I should be okay or should I expect to be disappointed when I mount them?

From what I've been told, those 27x12s on stock rims on back may .....and I say may because some say they don't.....touch the tank and get very close to the pipe when the shocks are compressed. Put them on and get a bunch of people to sit on the rack with the shocks set light and see. Let us know so we all know for sure.
