Bighorns
Anyone running 26" big horns on there 650sra? I think I may pick up a set but not sure if they will fit. They do run big. I had them on my 750 with no problem but the 750 had much more room under it. Also a little concerned about the weight to power ratio. Im wondering how much power they will rob from the 650. When I had them on my 750 I had steel wheels. My 650 has aluminum so im hoping the difference in weights and CC's will cancel each other out.
Anyone have any pictures of them on their 650sra?

have you looked into the Bighorn 2.0?
Referring to a 26x9x12 tire both versions of the bighorn are.....
6 ply, 26.4" tall
section width measuring 8.8"
tread depth of 25/32"
The Bighorn weighs 22.9 lbs
Bighorn 2.0 weighs 21.2 lbs
Just a thought....

I considered the 2.0's but all the pictures Ive looked compared to the regular big horns look like the 2.0's have smaller lugs. I like the larger lugs on the regular horns.

Get the regular Bighornes if that's the one you want. Yes, the luggs are smaller and shorter on the 2.0s. I think that's how they got the weight down.
Trev, don't you have terracross on it now? If so, they are supposed to be even better then the Big Horn. I think VT says the Big Horn slide more in corners.

I have dirt tamers right now. When I had Big horns on the 750 I loved the ride they gave. Cant beat a radial. That will be very benefitial now with the SRA. I really dont know much about the terra cross, Ive been googling pictures of them on a brute and not having much luck. Looks definately matters aswell.

the terracroos are a good tire,i have a set.i also have a set of bighorns 2.0,they are a good tire but i do find them to have more tire roll than the terracross.none of these are a large lug tire, nor is the og bighorn.og bighorn is a stiffer, thicker walled tire then the 2.0,hence heavier.there will be very little difference in terrain benefit between these, the og bighorn will last longer.i also have a set of bajacross and they are a heavyduty tire.exellent so far on the brute.i also have a 2009 rhino ,which is why i have so many tires, its nice to be able to swap out a set when riding in different conditions.also got a set of mudlite xl

I have been wanting a set of Bajacross for a while, but could not find anyone who actualy had them on a Brute...until now!! I have good XTRs but am looking for a better trail tire...one that won't tear stuff up as much yet still climb pretty steep soft stuff. I know the Bajacross has to be great on rocks and hard pack as well as run will in fast trail riding conditions. I like that I can get them in a 10' and the 8-ply rating as well as being a radial...which is a must IMO on a Brute.
So...tell me about you Bajacross experience islandbrute.

im digging them so far, where i live has alot of high speed forest service rd's to go on,with lots of mid to high elevation trails.ive put around 500kms on them and they look the same as the day i got them.they are heavy, but if you have xtr's then no biggie.a 26" baja ways less then a 27" xtr,not as aggressive as an xtr but way stronger,i run mine alot lower in psi then they recomend due to the stiffness of them, exellent going up dry creek beds.incredable high speed control,i had to balance these tires though.i have them on 14"ss212's,but had a shake at anything above 40 kms.$20 at a tire shop solved this, but this is the only set ive ever had to do this to.and the brute is the only machine ive had that shook.they are a stiff tire so air them down to make up for it.all in all ,it depends on the terrain someone rides,i do alot of fsr's to get to the good trails and lakes so they work great for me,and i do like a tough tire.if you want a pic im sure i can get 1 posted.hope it helps.

Thanks! I'm excited all over again. Yeah these XTRs shake like a b*tch at speed too and I was about to have them balanced but If I replace them...well that's what I'll do to the new ones instead.
Sure...If you have some pics to post that would be great!!
