I recently added 26 inch ITP mudlite xl tires and itp rims to my 05 Brute Force and now its real hard turning. Is it because of the tire difference or could there be something else causing it ?

bigger tires will steer harder when going slow because of the mass and weight when your cruising it shouldn't be as bad. putting a set of rox risers and bars like I did improved it allot and also the 08 arms did as well because they are a little different angle. but for the money the rox setup is really good

Like VT says larger tires will be harder to steer but just to be sure it isn't something else, get two jacks and pick up the front end by each a-arm enough to get the tires off the ground, then work the steering to see if it binds anywhere. If the lower stem bearing is dry and binding, it will be way worse with biger tires. With no load, you won't feel much, but you should feel something. Mine was hard too until I made it greasable and keep it lubed. I did a how-to under Brute tech. Good luck.

Also if for some reason you had the hub off recently check the hub nuts and make sure they are not to tight. I did that on my old rubicon when i put the disk brake conversion on there and i couldnt steer good.

ya bigger tires and the more offest wheels will make it steer harder. mines a biotch with 10 wide swamplites up front at 2psi. not to offen the front tires are on the ground though
