I am running 28" Zillas right now but they don't perform as well in the mud as I would like them to. I want to be able to go through the deep stuff that I see everyone else doing as I am stuck half way across the hole when they ride by in 2WD. Don't get me wrong the Zillas are great but won't take me as far as I would like to get. I am trying to decide between the 29.5 Outlaws and the 28" silverbacks. I also considered 30" Mudzillas and the new 28" Mudbitches(claim to measure almost 29.5") that are going to be available right away. Any input about these and any help on which is better between them would be great. Also Which are harder on parts as I don't want to have to replace axles and such everytime I ride(I know this has a lot to do with throttle control). I hear alot of guys say they break parts everytime they ride but then I see can-ams and Brutes fly through the middle of the worst crap WOT and never seem to stop or break anything(claim they are stock except clutch and tires) I will be adding a Dalton clutch kit as well to go along with the tires. I also plan on still trail riding with my quad but I know I am not going to have the smoothest ride with any of these tires.

If your wanting to keep up with the big boys, you are definatley going to have to change tires.... Personally i would not go mud bitches or 30 mudzillas, check the weight, they are way to heavy overall performance wise. Dont get me wrong, they mud fine. But between the 29.5 outlaws and 28 gorillas, Outlaws all the way! I have neither, but i ride with two friends that have 29.5 outlaws and 30 inch gorillas. I seen both in EXTREME action and weight/cost wise, outlaws are the alltimate all around mud tire. I have 30 inch mudlights and regardless of what people say, they are the best trail/mud tire you can buy. The new 30 inch zilla may be good but they are to narrow and dont have the tread depth that 30 inch ml do. Maybe someone will post a vid of the two in action. If i ride with someone who has them, i will post the comparison. If you really want to mud ride and keep up, get the 29.5 outlaws. You will not be disappointed. The gorillas are not worth the extra money and weight.......................................

Forgot to mention. I am sure you already heard this and that is because its the Truth. Trottle control through nasty holes determines wether or not you break stuff. If you get to the point were you are on the gas(in LOW GEAR) and the tires are not spinning(STOP GIVING IT GAS). If you dont break something, You WILL tear you transmission/belt up. Now with that said, people will tell you to put a red epi secondary spring in. That will tighten the tension on your belt but it will take all your top end away. What i mean is, your are looking at 45-50 mph tops. But once you get to this speed , you greatly increase the chance of breaking your belt. I have seen it happen. Try running 45mph down the road and your belt breaks. Your rear end locks up and it slides!!!! It will scare the S***T out of you, especially if you been drinking. That is why the dalton kit does not replace the secondary spring, only the primary and the weights. I would go with the dalton kit (blue primary not the orange/blue primary unless you like stall), weights and remove some shims in your secondary to tighten the belt (its like adding a stiffer secondary spring but without the side effects). Go easy on the throttle in thick stuff(watery mud give it H*LL) and you will be fine. Dont forget to Keep It In LOW. Get stuck, its ok. That is what winches are for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man i just got some put on my brute last week. I half way talked myself out of them after everyone on hl talked about breaking stuff. But you have to change your style a bit. You dont want to spend them fast in mud or you will be stuck. They DIG! No more wheelies unless you want to really be replacing stuff. I came from 27" executioners and am very glad i did. The ride isnt bad at all i dont think. Slight bounce under 4mph i think, but you have to consider what you are riding, there isnt a Cadillac emblem on the front. At trail speeds(8-20mph) them seem to ride awesome. They are slippery on wet boulders, and tend to pick up tree branches along the trails, but I wouldnt turn back. I ma very pleased and my buddy on 28" EDL's is wanting a set now too.lol. They are awesome in mud, I was walking through stuff in 2wd that he was using 4wd in. They pull like no other. Oh! And in water they are a blast. In 2wd it basically water wheelied itself. Over rack deep you have to ballance it or it will barrel roll on you. Hope this helps, if you need more just let em know. I posted some pics under got new rubber if you wanna check them out. All stock without a lift for now.
