Default 26" XTR w/ Stock Rims

Hello everyone, does anybody see an issue with running 26" XTR's on the stock rims of my 08 750? Fronts will be 9's, rears 11. Any rubbing or clearance issues?

Thanks for your help!

You should be fine.

My 27" Mud Bugs barely touch the gas tank on LARGE bumps at high speeds, until I cranked up the shocks.

OK, thanks. It seems most people switch the wheels out at the same time and get a greater offset, so I just wanted to make sure that people didn't get new rims because they need the offset for bigger tires. Thanks for your reply!

You can go with 12" wides in the rear. They just barely rub the dirt off the tank guard on large bumps or hard corners.

I know that you can't run Bighorn 27r12s on the rear with stock rims, they rub on the gas tank on the right side. It looks real tight on sharp, off camber turns with 27s on the front, too. I just mounted them on the machine, scoped it out, then ordered new wheels for the Bighorns.

You should be fine. I have 26" XTR's, and they are by far the single best improvement Ive made to my bike. You'll love them!! :rating09:

Hey well thanks for your input, I just put them on today, and it looks close but I think it will be fine. I will be taking th quads out tomorrow, so we'll see what they're like. I would've gone with ITP wheels, but the only ones they have for an 08 are fancy and expensive. I want to wait for cheaper models to come out that have a bit of offset, then I'll get those.
Thanks again for your advice!

Wheels for an 08 only? I cant really see that being possible. I would think that since the chassis is the same as the previous years, 650i/750i, that the wheel requirements would be the same also. Just an opinion. B)

There are specific wheels just for the 08 brute but if you take wheels from almost any other, give the center hole for the hub a quiick grind(supposedly a few tabs to grind off) then the bolt pattern is 4/110 the same as the older brutes and you can use any wheels.

Yes, the rims for the 08's are different than the previous years!
