Testing the New Floor board skids
Finally I am getting out on Sunday, now I can test these HDPE underside floor board skid plates. This area is very rocky that I will be riding on Sunday and I always kick up big rocks that banged up hard or bounce off of the underside of the floorboards and sometimes breaking the floorboards.
I drilled some additional draining holes in these HDPE plastic skid plates, just in case Elkbow and I find some water to play in..

Wet trails, nice to ride w/o any dust.
Streams are running good but the stream crossings aren't very deep, barely get wet charging through them.
Jumped a black bear as well on one of the trails, wouldn't you know it, as soon as I turned off the VholdR I run right up on a bear. I chased him down the trail for about 20yds before the bear jumped off the side of the mountain, lol...

As I bashed mine again on the west masa and opened up an old crack stepping off a rock ledge...I sure would like to see some pick of how you did it.

I bought them from Chuck750 over on Kawieriders($70 shipped), he makes them out of HDPE, they are cut to size, have the correct bends and fit 100% perfect, all of the mounting hardware is included. Using Ricochets Skids I did need to trim the HDPE skids on each side (about 3/4") but a jigsaw fix that. I heard the skid plates today taking the beating with Rocks and other items getting slammed up against the HDPE skids, not once did my feet get knocked out of the footwells from any of the hard impacks of the rocks, it was a pleasure to finally have something there for this needed protection and No More broken footwells to replace.

I did drill some drain holes to allow any water to escape from the footwells, they too drained Today with the little bit of water I could get to splash up that high into the footwells.
