Selling my brute
sorry you guys I love my brute to death but it's not worth it. It sits in the shop more than everything. So once it gets out this time I will be looking for a buyer. Havnt really thought about what I want next but I need something more reliable.

Sorry to hear that...good luck. BTW-I've been a big fan of my Grizzly. Not as torquey as the V-twin, but still fast and sporty...handles great. Not to mention it has been reliable as well.

I didn't want to say it either, but the new Can-Ams are pretty dang sweet. I wanted a 2up Outlander before I bought my Grizzly, but the Outty was about 4 grand more. And once again, before I bought my Brute, I was looking at a used 2008 Renegade 800 X, but the dealer wanted over 8K for it and I got my brand new 09 Brute for under 7K...I'm not at a point in my life where I can justify spending 10K+ for an ATV.

Me either and with the dwindling places to ride here, and the cost for what I want being in the 13K range..it be a hard sell to the old lady...

Don't jump too fast, Two of the guys I ride with have Cannies and they work on them twice as much as I do on mine and even the parts to fix are way high. I had to pull one back to camp with broken axle last ride. Haven't seen anything to do with either one of them that has impressed me at all and not near as much fun....I'm sure there are good ones out there but neither of these are a year old yet and both are not happy with them and they paid a ton....

Ya the prices r a big jump but from what I been seeing is that they r bad. I know wen I started riding early Saturday no one was keeping up with me in the mud and I had to pull out a few Hondas and po-pos. I love my bike but it's killing my pocket and it's always in the shop. What happin was is I was riding and knocked a tire of the rim then got that fixed and raced once my bike barely had in any power like I would have droped a cyclinder r something so I brought it back to the cabin and it shut off on me. It had a knockin sound to it so I checked the oil and I was low. Well I put more oil in and started it up an the knockin noise is still ther so I killed it. Earlyer that day I was pulling out a bike and smoke started coming out from the exhausted snorkle for the belt. So I am hoping that the knocking is either from the belt, out plug r something simple bc if it's a crankshaft r rod bearing I will seriously be pissed bc I told my machinc to check everything that could interfear with something to break to be changed. And I know it could be a list of problems going on. Anyone has any ideas? R trouble shooting?

I'v run through several belts and on one fryed it bad on a hill climb. Smoked it all the way up a 700 foot run. Though I was pumping oil into the box...this was before the catchcan...anyway in about a half a mile it started loosen coggs. It started making lots of knock's and other sounds...never tripped the belt switch on any of them.
