They've not made any real changes since '08 (efi) so it's time! ...but I won't be able to trade up for a long time.

If they are going to keep the BF they have a lot of catching-up to do in 2012.

Recently a FR told me Kawie does have a BF900 but and this is a But, due to the recent events (sales, or lack of), Kawie is going to hold off on the release. The FR also said that 6 States sre considering passing new laws to ban any atv over 750cc's, 1st I heard of this. He said two of the States were both the Dakota's but didn't mention the other's.
He also said the Teryx outsales other UTV's but I find that hard to believe, he said that is why the Teryx was redone for '10.
He also stated that the 650 is a top seller for them for the price/power/weight Vs the other 4wheelers in the same class and the reasoning for No EFI and No powersteering- is it would add price and Weight to the 650. I told him that who ever is running the ATV section at Kawasaki has got their Head up their a**, they don't know the market demand, don't know what buyers are wanting. Other's are jumping the Kawie Ship for other makes. Kawasaki's lack of sales or poor sales is b/c of the Product you offer, you are not offering what the customer wants. He didn't have an answer for Kawasaki still not offering a BF500 other than saying the BF650 fits the bill, even though the dealers are screaming for a 500/550cc.
He also said if buyers want a 2 seater they can buy the Teryx, I again told him whoever is running your ATV section needs to be Fired!

Now, the 900 I did still the Spec sheet on it last year from a salesmanager who returned from a Factory Tour but now that same salesmanager won't say hoot about it.

You would think as easy as it is to become a member on all these ATV web sites, those marketing people would be plugged into all of them and know exactly what's going on with the whole market and their product.

They need a bigger engine...900cc or better, a two-up version, a performance version and a mud version. They need to address all the design issues that people are having. Make it clean and strong...and we...the consumer will do the mods that fit our needs best. But make then come with Elkas standard...lol

Still, I can't see myself on anything but my Kawie.. regardless of what they do or don't do.

I'll tell you this, that Spec sheet on that BF900 was fantasic-Fox shocks,p/s,beefed up frame,hd skids, new type of a auto tranny never offered before, dif lock but not Varible, instant 4wd, true 898cc VTwin and a 2-seater was in the mix too along with a beefed up 750 2-seater. The 900 was only going to be available in one color too, the Monster Enegry Color, Black/Lime Green.
At 1st it was a BF840 but then changed after Cat bought out the 950. The BF900 did have higher bhp over the Cat 950 and higher than the present '11 Bomb 800.
I was really surprised that Kawie hasn't released it for '11, it would set a new standard. The Price was up there as well, $10,499 for the single seater.
After experencing a Bomb 800 with an xtra 90#s over my Brute 750, I for one would pass on a Heavier 900 but I sure would like to see Kawasaki get back in the lead with the Vtwin.

I need to look for my notes to remember the other goodies it had but above was the highlites.
