ECU MEMORY?
Hi guys,how are you?
This is mainly for the efis brute owners but others can join in of course if they knoe anything about the subject...Have you ever heard about the ecu keeping memory of your driving style?
I read it in one magazine for the suzuki kq 750 and i think that mine does the same...
I notice differences in different driving styles, for ex. when i am in an open road it is different, works better than when i am in the city traffic. The same when i am in the mountain or different place...
The article also says that for example if you "teach" the ecu when you start it to use throttle after the bike will not start without it or will start with more efort...
What do you think about that?

Hmmm...that's a little scarry...like a black-box...data could be bownloaded and someone would know how you have been driving. Well...I don't think the Brutes can do this. Although most ECUs or controlers can and do remember the last positions of say..the TPI sencors...ect, and error codes, I think that's about it for these. Although I could be all wrong. I do know Kawie had to wait for a 16bit system for their EFIs because the 8bit couldn't do what they needed. That also gives them extra computing power...for other things...Hmmm..

I'd say that is possible. I know when my son has been riding my brute, (He's 15 and rides very aggressive) it seems like it runs different and it takes a little while to get use to me again. It could just be my imagination too.

I think it is not your imagination...it happens to me like i described above...In different circumstances i see the brute behave different...in traffic it does not want to move and on open road it flies!!!!!
