Removing plastics
Ok for all you guys that removed your plastics... Is it pretty strait forward? Going to snorkel my bike this weekend. To me that looks like the easy part compared to the time it will take to remove all the bolts to get plastics off. Do I need to remove lights from front plastic or can I unplug them and take off as a whole with front piece? Any tips suggestions etc is great.

Sorry Thom...I was out riding all day. Yeah at least for mine it was pretty easy. Lots of bolts though. On mine, I was able to leave the light housings in and just take off the main front plastic. The back comes off just as easy. Good time to clean up stuff too.

Go at least 2.5 on the airbox and use long sweeps and a 3" rubber 90 off the box for least restriction. The belt vents can be 2". And do yourself a favor and put those 180s on top and face them back, not the 90s or 45s

I am glad you mentioned that. I posted on MIMB for clarification. Just So I am clear.
Run 2" pipe from belt and Tranny. But run a 3" outlet to 2.5" off the air box and remove the screen from the bottom of the box? Also the fuel line that runs to the back of the tank I was advised to raise up as well. I plan on going right by the MIMB instructions. I got confused as some guys are running all 2" and others 2.5. Just not sure I want the bike to run like she does now.....mint. I am not a deep water guy by any means but do have a few channels we cross and want a little more insurance. Already swamped one bike.

Right on the snorkles. On that fuel vent line, it goes into the frame and comes out in front and goes to the pod to a bank of other vents like the diffs. I don't thing there is any reason to do anything with that except silicone the holes in the frame so water can't get in.
