Some 28s do rub but some don't. Probably a 2" lift would be in order. Stock axles work in lost normal situations. If you find you are breaking axles, then go with one of the aftermarkets.

dont know about needing axles, I run 28's on my 06 BF750 but my wheels are offset and i have no issues other than staying clean on muddy trails..I have HL springs on the bottom notch.. An help me out here NMKAWIERIDER.. The springs dont lift the bike..Do they? they were on it when i got it.. I wanna do a 2" lift so I can later clear 30's

I have been running 27" swamplites that measure almost 28 when new. Never had a problem with my stock axles! And I run them long and hard and put em up wet! I agree with NMKAWIERIDER, If you have any rubbing issues add a 2" lift kit and get after it..

Right, they don't lift it other then make it stuffer and handle more weight.

Probably could use a set of springs, but if the belt is good...keep it.
