Default MILEAGE PER TANK OF FUEL

am looking at getting a bf 750 and was just wondering what i could expect to get out of a ltank of fuel for mileage. i know lots about the polaris 500 sportsmans and they can go forever on a tank but i know that these new big boys will drink some more fuel it will be used for trail riding nothin hard core but some of the rides we go on are 40 plus miles and i dont want to be left stranded.thanks in advance.

I do almost the same...It all depends on your thumb...if you have a "heavy" thumb do not expect to have good mileage...I have noticed that when i am bored or do not have mood to go fast i get pretty good mileage...but when i am in a good mood(and when i ride my brute it is hard not to be)i see that it drinks more than an alcoholic....
As i have calculated,the minimum is 10lt/100km ,with a "light" thumb.....very light......

Slumlord and I are carbed, and we get about the same. I once peaked at 73 miles, but it was suck'n air. I have got as good as 13.5 mpg and as bad as 8mpg. Like Gus says..its all in the thumb.

It just takes more gas and air to make the power the Brute does. No one buys them for milage. They buy them for the performance.

I've not checked my mileage in a long time but I know it's not 20mpg! It really does depend on how aggressive you ride. Most of my rides are about 40-50 miles long. when I get back the tank is low with maybe 2 bars left on the gage.
