IMO THE BRUTE IS THE BEST MACHINE IN ITS CLASS.THERE IS ATLEAST 1 OF EVERY BIG BORE MANUFACTURED IN MY RIDING GROUP AND I HAVE SEEN FIRST HAND THE PROBLEMS THEY ALL HAVE.HONDAS HAVING THE LEAST PROBLEMS BUT VERY UNDERPOWERED.POLARIS HAVING THE MOST PROBLEMS.I BOUGHT MY FIRST BRUTE IN 05 WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT.MY BASIC REASONS FOR BUYING WERE SPORTY LOOKS/PURE POWER.I WAS PLEASED ENOUGH TO BUY AN 08 WHEN THEY MADE THEM FI.I WOULDN'T OWN ANY OTHER 4WD.I CAN RIDE ABOUT 45 MI ON ONE TANK OF GAS.AND THAT'S WITH THE HAMMER DOWN FOR MOST OF THE RIDE.

I let a friend of mine ride my brute last weekend cause ive been trying to talk him into getting one instead of a canned ham. My plan worked hehe. he's buying a brand new 750 very shortly.
Plus, I made him watch me and my 2 buddy drag race up hill 300ft (my brute, buddys brute, and buddy 800r) My brute smokes that 09 can am every time (we have video evidence!) however where mine tops out at 117 on the speedometer, the ham will slowly pull away.

so far out of all the quads ive raced (sport quads to utilitys) the only one that has beaten me in 300ft is a bored and cammed v-force with exhaust. so that makes me happy.

I wouldnt own any other quad but a kawasaki.

I know exactly what you mean.
I bought a New Canned ham 800, got a great deal(Price) on it but after just 150 miles of hard riding and that 800 doing its best to try to roll over while exiting fast curves on the trails, I decided it wasn't for me.
