Default Exhaust snorkel

This has probably been answered already but I can't seem to find it.
My Brute died yesterday while submerged in mud and water. My pipe was about 6 inches under water. It started back and I continued thru the hole but am concerned about damage that could occur in this situation in the future. If I snorkel my exhaust will I have to rejet or do any other modifications? Any help will be appreciated.

Mine is snorkled and I didn,t have to rejet. Before I snorkled my exhaust I tried to install my quiet qore on my HMF Penland and couldn,t because of a layer of baked on mud on the inside of my exhaust and my 750 has never stalled out under water, which makes you wonder how that crap gets in there

My exhaust is snorkeled as well and I didn't have to rejet. You'll get water shooting out of it from the condensation, but that's about it.
