thats the beauty of efi you don,t have to do anything for the fuel/air mixture the computer will self adjust, just make sure use 2in intake and you,ll be fine

Not to bust your chops, but for the benefit of everyone who might read this, the information you provided is WRONG. The injected brutes do NOT have a mass air sensor, nor do they have an oxygen sensor. The "computer" if you will, in the brute has NO means whatsoever of adjusting the air/fuel mixture to account for snorkels or various other add ons. If you dealer told you it would, he lied, if your buddy told you it would, he lied. You will need to purchase a programmer to change the fuel/air ratio of your injected brute.

I snorked my buddy's 08 EFI, center in front of handle bars and removed the mesh screen under the air filter and it really improved his performance. I used 2" abs pipe.

That depends.. When you snorkel the brute, you're going to reduce the amount of air that is coming into the carbs. Generally, most bikes come lean from the factory to deal with EPA B.S. You MIGHT not need the programmer, but then again you might. As BMK said, removing the screen does allow for more air to flow to the carbs as it is rather restrictive. This may work in your case, it may not. All the programmer is going to do is allow you to add or reduce the amount of fuel going into the carbs. It's a trial and error thing. Not too sure on the prices of programmers as I'm still running a carbed 06. But from what I hear they're not cheap
