Default Waterproofing?

I have an 05 BF750i and I live in Florida so I take it through a lot of mud, water, muddy water, etc.. everything is stock for now, it has 27" swamp lite's and I just ordered the bayou snorkel kit. I know the snorkel will help but not make it waterproof by any means, but is there anything else i can do to make me feel a little safer about taking it in rack high water, some kind of vent extensions or anything? This is my first 4wheeler so any information will be very helpful... Thanks

Run your carb vents up into your pod.
Run your crankcase vent up.
Seal all the vent and drain holes up in your airbox.
Being you have an '05, you will need to get rid of your buss connectors. (just do a search for "buss connector" on this site.)
Dielectric grease your coil connections and plug boots.
If you have a winch, seal all those connections with rtv silicone.
