Snorkel Help.
I was wondering where i could get the instructions for the self snorks, I read seevral posts and found where they said there was some, but when i clicked the link it says page failed to open. I have tried the link many times now and each tiem i get the same thing. So could someone please post the instructions for doing it urself? Or post a workign link for me please.
Also i was wanting to build a water proof speaker box to mount on my front rack, i didnt want to build the box until i had the snorks in to see what size box i could go with and where i could place it. Has anyoen else added a stereo to the front with snorkels? That way i could sorta get a good snork placement idea either coming up the center or coming up the sides like Bayou has them.

Snorkel Help.
Here this one has pics also. It is for a 750 Brute. If you have a 650 SRA like me and BRUTE650 then it's a little different.

Snorkel Help.
The link jakedogg posted is what I used and it made it a piece of cake. I took the laptap to the garage using wireless internet and just followed the steps. The hardest part to me was getting all the length and angle right so they are all pointed the same angle and look straight. Very easy to follow with good pics.

Snorkel Help.
Well, I didn't do mine like the ones on the link, but it is a good reference. I bought more fittings than I needed, just in-case. Mocked everything up before glueing it together. It's like the saying goes: Measure twice, cut once. It's easier than you think.

Snorkel Help.
I agree I had to play with the fitting to get everything lined up before I glued it all.

Snorkel Help.
are you guys putting dielectric grease on all your connections. I dont know much about brutes but i know a couple of people that their bikes would stall in deep water, then we found out about the connectors and the slightest bit of water would shut them down. We disconnected all the connectors, everything from the lights to the computers(every electrical connector on the bike), and put dielectric grease on them to water proof them. The only way to make the bike "water proof" is to do that and to extend all the vent lines, not too familair with kawi's but i know the hondas you had front and rear brake vent lines, front and rear diff. vent lines, carb vents, and the radiator had a vent on it too (dont want nasty water getting in the rad to clog that up and run hot all day long). You just run them up to the pod and zippy them up. also seen some people tap the vent lines into their pvc on their snorkles but i would think that would create a vacuum and start sucking fluid out of your diffs, i dont know? but yeah the only way to make your bike water proof is to snorkle everything, put dielectric grease on all your connectors/batter connectors/around the spark plugs (too keep the water out), and to extend all the vent lines to the pod. just thought id throw my 2 cents in and help everyone out.

I'm just curious if I snorkel my 2008 750 the way they have it on MIMB, will I loose top end? I'm not a deep water guy, but I almost drowned my brute the other day just going through a small puddle. I mainly want it for the winter as the air box fills up with snow.

I think if you stick with the 3" setup you should be OK.

I am about to snorkel my brute. I have an 09 and was thinking of doing stealth instead of normal. Does anyone know about what size pipe i need to do and if i should do duals on the airbox? The bike is all stock as of now.
