Everyone has snorkel problems, RIGHT?
I have read, and talked to a lot (20 or so people) that have done snorkel work, and just about everyone agrees it is a necessary mod, but that the bike doesn't run as good as when it was stock. Does anyone have a set of snorkels installed and the bike run as it did from the factory?

I have had them go both ways. A couple you could not tell a difference other than they could hit a puddle without getting water in the airbox, and then I had a couple that needed to be tweaked after. The benefits far out weight the troubles of tuning. Just be sure to minimize the number of elbows in the snorkel as one 90 deg. elbow equals about as much resistance as 10 ft of straight pipe.

Mine ran better after I put my snorkles on. I made my own snorkles.

I just snorkled mine and havent really noticed any differance as far as power loss or anything. Mine is all stock except for the snorkel, K&N air filter, and 27" SwampLite tires.

So far haven't had any problems at all. Seems to run just as well as before.

My snorkels are all hard pipe ABS (no hose). When first rigged em up I pointed the air intake straight back and wasn't getting enough air at high speeds (50mph or so). I put another 90 on and pointed it straight down and its been awesome since. Didnt have to rejet. Definately worth the 30 bucks or so I spent at the hardware store. Before I snorkeled my wifes kodiak was better in the water than the brute.
