Default Snorkel Question (help)

I installed a bayou snorkel. Went for a ride and everything was well. Ran good. Now I load up on the trailer and drove two and half hours to go riding. When I went to unload the machine didn't want to turn over. I thought maybe the starter, but when I went to pull the pull rope it didn't move. It was like the piston was seized. Well after about a long minute of pressing the starter button a bunch of times it finally turned over. Then it took a minute to get it started. I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem? It did the same thing when I got home that evening. It took a minute for it to unseize and then another minute for it to start. Any info or advice would be great. I am going to Coalcreekohv with killzoneq2 in May and I don't want to have any problems.

Default Snorkel Question (help)

I had the same issue and posted a similar question. You need to cap the snorkels when you transport the quad. Your forcing air into the quad and flooded the engine.

Take a look at this link for a more detailed explaination.

Default Snorkel Question (help)

The air coming into the snorkels while traveling forces fuel into the cylinders therefore making them vapor or liquid locking and you need to change your engine oil because you now have gas in the engine oil. NOTE: if it does this again do not keep trying to start the engine remove the spark plugs and then turn the engine overto get the gas out of the cylinder if you continue to try to start the engine you will take a chance on bending a connecting rod and then you will have to tear down and replace the connecting rods inside the engine.

Thanks Jason I sure don't want to have to do any extra work on the brute at this point in time.

Default Snorkel Question (help)

Not everyone has the problem but i have about eight different customers that have the brute and two of them have had that problem but they had me extend the snorkel tubes up a little higher than the rest so the only thing i can figure is the heigth on the tubes have something to do with it. It also varies if they tow them on a trailer or in the truck if they are on the trailer they tend to catch all the air coming over the truck and if in the truck they dont catch as much because the cab blocks most of the air. That is the only thing i can think of though.
