Exhaust snorkel
How can I make an exhaust snorkel with an HMF, or any aluminum silencer exhaust. With a factory exhaust you can weld exhaust pipe and run it up in know, but you cannot weld steel to aluminum. I was wondering what every one else did. Thanks for the info.

Exhaust snorkel
I just bought another down spout and cut the rounded lip of down spout...welded an elbow on and a t and a half section of straight..added a flipper on top.added some J-B weld to the weld to help with water proofing( just in case my weld had holes in it).

What he said. These flanges/rings will bolt to the HMF exhaust, you weld the snorkel pipe to the flange.

Exhaust snorkel
Here is what I ended up with. The welds are strong and air tight just not pretty. First time welding aluminum.
