Default snorkle issues on 08 efi need some help

So i have started to build my own snorkle kit. I am wanting to know if it is ok to use a Tee and put the belt exahust and intake in to the same line and out the front. i wouldnt thank that it would effect anthing having the air ciculate like that. espescially because its not a closed system. It will vent out the top. I am also using 2" to do myh intake Air. I have test fit and drove my bike down the street. it seemed to want to back fire a little and not stay running at an ideal. but i can role at about 7 mph and it will wheelie very easy, and it didnt do that before. is the intake to big to small?

The back of the primary clutch is finned so it acts like a fan pulling air in the intake and pushing it through the housing and out the exhaust. Can't have it intake and exhaust through the same hole.

2" snorkle should not make any difference at idle and up a ways but the stock intake is slightly larger then 2". Your idling problem is from something else. Abobe say 2500, you will start to feel the restriction. Use a long-sweep rubber 3" 90 off the box and stack it with at least 2 1/4. 2 1/2 is better. Use 180 long sweeps at the top and face them back. The intake and exhause of the clutches can be 2" but bring them both up seperate on both sides of the intake and cap with the same 180s.

The guys over at MIMB.com are pros at this stuff. Might check with them on the details.

By the way..welcome to Brute Central MUXLOW65

To answer your question, NO, do not combine intake and exhaust CVT air. The CVT uses the intake to stay cool, help keep that belt cool, and exhausts the HOT air, that is the point of it having an intake and exhaust port. They need to stay separate so that you are always getting cooler fresh air in, and exhausting the hot.

Agreed, you will smoke a belt in just an hour or so.
