I had a friend snorkel 2 of my brutes both are 2006 4x4i one is a 650 the other 750.He has also done his and a couple of friends and they all work ok but my sputters when water is over the tires. Not only does it sputter and backfire but the red reverse light comes on once i get it out of the water the red light starts to fade away till it is gone and runs fine till i get back in the water.I do not ride through the water fast i go in and the try to pull a water wheelie.Dose anybody else have this problem or is it just the 06.My friends are 2007 thru 09.

I have an 06 and have not had that problem yet. Sounds like water is getting in the reverse pin connector that is about that level on the block. I forget which side, but check any and all wires going to the engine/transmission block about that level. Pull off, dry well, and use dielectric grease when reinstalling.
Also, might as well check any connectors you find that could be getting under water...you never know.

^^^^X2. Need that grease on all wire connectors that you can get to.

Thanks guys,i talked to a local Mechanic in Crosby and also read something on Nyroc and they said that the Sensor on the left side by the coolant canister causes this when it gets wet. This is also the reverse override they say to disconnect the Red with White stripe wire and you won't have to hit override button when you go in reverse. Also when you disconnect the wire they said to put some dielectric grease and tape up good to keep water out of it.I will do this and try it out this coming weekend and let you all know if it worked. Thanks again for your help guys.
