I GUESS EHS IS SELLING IT FOR U THEY HAVE THE EXPECTED PRICE A LITTLE TO STEEP AT $190!!!![/ :nono:[/b]
Believe me it takes a few bucks to make this thing, I guess we stop producing stuff here in the USA and send everything to china like everybody else, so we can sell it for a little less. :nono:

I've personally bought 3 items from ehs and I really like them and recomend them all the time to people and i think this is a great item also, but for the money, no thats just me personally, maybe if u could design it diffrently to get as much air flow as the lid or maybe make it out of plastic or another material. Sorry if I offended anybody, but for 190 u can snorkle 4 bikes.

Then it would be made out of sheet metel or plastic. No thanks. Hay EHS, the lid itself comes with it right? So we can flip-back to the stock lid if the need comes up....like the purchase of a new Brute Also, how close to stock flow is it, and is it a little less or little more...then stock?

Thanks.

You may snorkle 4 bikes but after you jet it after numerous attempts and you actually lose horsepower the extra money is way worth it. I have seen dyno sheets from VFJ that a snorkled Brute with the same mods as my bike have only the same RWHP as a stock brute because of the restriction of the snorkle. Thats almost 10 RWHP lose. Thats alot!!!! So you can look at this the airbox snorkil may not add HP BUT you don't lose any and you put it on in 2 seconds I tried to snorkil my brute it wasn't worth the hassle to rejet. My EHS racing works perfect and keeps my airbox clean. People spend almost 200 on a dyna or almost 400 for a VDI so 190 for the snorkil really isn't that bad and I would rather have the machined on just for the looks and durability compared to plastic.
Just my 2 cents

I can tell you that EHS might be able to buy a 6 pack of beer with the profit they are making on these.

Ohio you didnt offend me honestly when i was setting pricing for this my first thought was like huh its kinda expensive i hope people dont think its to much. But for the price it cost to build them thats where we are at belive me my markup in products is probably one of the least in the industry but then again other guys can probably make stuff a little cheaper than we can.

It would come as pictured lid and all i think i will offer a scoop/hardware kit also if people want to save a few bucks. Our other covered lids protect almost as well and flow more this is for mud guys that dont want an extra pvc tube sticking up. I will have flow/dyno results hopefully next week.

Do the math. A 2" snorkel pipe has 3.1416 square inches of area (pie x the radius squared). The EHS Racing Mudders Intake (1" x 3 3/4") has 3.75 square inches of area. More air than a snorkel! You also have to consider the air restriction of the length of the pipe & the elbows. EHS has none of that. Conclusion..........EHS has better air flow than a conventional snorkel setup. For the money, this mod. is not that exspensive if you want you motor to get more air.

Mudlift, have you had the chance to "do the math" on stock box intake which is a bit ovel?
Just wondering.

Yep, but I forgot exactly what it was. I think it was just a little under 4 square inches. If some one will give me the dimensions, I will caculate it.

Wink

I really think it's a solid item tired of argueing give me 2 of the scoops, how much for the scoops only? I'll need them in the spring  when it warms up and I definetly support small businesses like EHS they've been great to deal with and I love all the products I've purchased in the past.
