Will snorkels void my warranty?
My buddy is wanting me to add snorkels to his 08 750I efi, but i am a little concerned about his warranty. He bought the extra stretched warranty that covers him till 2090,lol. Will snorkeling it void the warranty? Thanks.

Re: Will snorkels void my warranty?
I asked my dealer the same question he said in his eyes no I would just be adding more protection but other dealers don't seem to be that pleasent. Kawasaki will never see your bike only your dealer so if you have a good dealer you shouldn't have an issue

Re: Will snorkels void my warranty?
Well we only have two kawaski dealers around and they are about an hours drive. His belt broke at 40hrs, and they said they would only cover labor, not parts and he paid for it b/c he dont like to speak up. Then he sunk it in the creek, and they would only flush it 3 times and after that it was on him. So I guess he needs to call down there and see huh? I personally cant stand the place, but its the only one around.

Re: Will snorkels void my warranty?
that sucks my dealer even helped one guy out by getting a motor rebuild under warrenty even thought the guy sunk it. I even saw the dirt in the oil inside of the motor. I mean actual mud inside the motor my dealer got it fixed under warrenty. Like I said its only as good as the dealer behind it

Re: Will snorkels void my warranty?
VT is right some stealers cover some dont.* My sudgestion is to do the snorkles MIMB style and buy another one of the black things you cut holes into.* If he has to take into the stealer for warranty work pull the snorkles off put all the stock crap back on change out the black thing and take it in.

Re: Will snorkels void my warranty?
They HAVE to do warranty work unless they can prove the snorkels were the cause. Like if you sink it then they wont have to. But lets say an axle snaps then they are supposed to do the warranty work still.

My dealer has no problems with my snorkeled Kawi and warranty. It would be obvious if the bike went for a swim or just had a mechanical defect. The same issue could be made for Clutch kits with 28" tires, some dealers say this is aggressive and will not cover warranty issues.
In Canada, Kawi is getting stiffer on warranty issues. They have the best warranty in the business and I can see why they want see what is being paid out on. Most dealers will try to get most warranty issues done for you because that is just good business.
I see POPO and Yamaha people asking for good warranty service and do not get it.
Went to the Arctic Cat dealer the other day and was looking at the Mud Special Edition, with factory snorkeling. Sales rep said that this was a bike that would satisfy any mud enthusiast. Only thing was.......warranty will not cover motor( or related parts) consumed by water or any other abuse.
In closing, Kawi has been 100% in warranty issues with my snorkeled bike.
