Help! SNORKELS with K&N air fiter!?!?
I installed the kn filter and was getting way too much air. Now I installed snorkels and it seemed to even out the air flow problem. But I already bought the jet kit so should I still do some adjusting? I havent had it in any mud or under any strain but normal riding conditions it seemed to run fine! Im having a local shop do it so would it be worth the $?* *

Re: Help! SNORKELS with K&N air fiter!?!?
I thought the same thing. But it seems to be lacking a lil power. The problem is I put the kn on the same day as 29.5s so idk if the power loss can all be blamed on the tires!? Ive done so many mods in lil time its hard to tell what done the most. I went from riding stock bike with 27 vamps for 8 months to...29.5s,cdi box, clutch kit, snorkels,kn filter all in one week.

Do some plug checks and if everything looks good then don't mess with it.* Some folks have gotten lucky with the snorks and K&N filter and not had to touch a thing.* Others have gotten by with removing the screen under the filter.* If everything checks out, then your power loss is from your bigger tires.* You can easily fix that with a spring change.

Re: Help! SNORKELS with K&N air fiter!?!?
you will see a power loss from the tires and the snorkles. on the dyno sheets I saw at vforcejohns even a well tuned snorkled brute doesn't give the same hp as a brute with the same mods but no snorkle.so if she runs good and the plugs look good then like gator says play witht the springs or get a vforcejohn clutch mod that will help quite a bit

Re: Help! SNORKELS with K&N air fiter!?!?
Those 29.5 eat up some power.
Like stated above try changing you springs that should help get some power back.
With those tires I would try a pink spring on the primary and the almond spring on the secondary. You can get a spring kit from High lifter at a fare price or buy the springs separately.

almond may not be enough for 29.5's check highlifter forums they seem to mud more and run those big tires and doa search on here I would run a maroon at least in the primary also you can call epi themselves and see what they suggest for springs they usually are pretty close

The almond Spring is what the boys are running with the 29.5 on the secondary clutch.

Re: Help! SNORKELS with K&N air fiter!?!?
Thanks for the help!! I went with the 3" snorks, 60/65 jets, took screen out of airbox, cdi kit with pink spring, and the power is awesome!! I went to MUDFEST in Okeechobee and have vids to prove it!* :peace2:* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer..._type=&aq=f
